What I Listened to this Summer:
Daft Punk- I saw them at Red Rocks in Colorado, which is the best venue ever. Look up pictures of it. Insane. Sebastian (Ed Bangor) and Under the Infulence of Giants opened. It was great.
Kanye West- Stronger is such a good single (thanks to Daft Punk) but the whole Graduation album is goood. I am soo addicted.
Kate Nash- Some British girl I haven’t heard much about but I saw her music video on IMF and loved her song, Foundations.
Minus the Bear- honestly, my favorite band. To me, they can’t do wrong.
Justice- Duh. Didn’t everyone?
Shit Robot- real good too. I found a really good show for indie dance music on Univeristy of Colorado’s radio station, radio 1190 (stream it online when you aren’t listening to WMHC, radio1190.org) on Sunday’s called Substance. Prettymuch everything on the show is good, and he does a pretty good job of posting his playlists weekly, so if you are looking for good remixes and electronic dance stuff, check it out.
Timbaland- The Way I Are is such a good song.
Broken Social Scene- a summer staple
Brand New- soco amaretto lime is the story of how every summer should be. Some people wouldn’t admit their love for brand new, but whatever. When every one of your friends can sit in the car with you and sing the same song no amount of time can make that band not cool.
